Protect Our Vote NC, Defending Democracy During COVID19 Virtual Town Hall

Writer: Beatrice BeaubrunBeatrice Beaubrun

Join us Monday, April 27th, 2020 at 7pm for a virtual town hall.

The coronavirus pandemic is impacting virtually every aspect of our lives – including our ability to participate in our democracy.

We’ve already seen the chaos that ensued in Wisconsin when officials failed to provide safe and accessible options for voters to cast their ballots.

Voters should not have to choose between their health and their vote.

The town hall will feature voting rights champions and special guests:

  • U.S. Rep. David Price

  • U.S. Rep. G. K. Butterfield

  • U.S. Rep. Alma Adams

  • N.C. State Sen. Jay Chaudhuri

  • And Melissa Price Kromm of North Carolina Voters for Clean Elections, Tomas Lopez of Democracy North Carolina, Marcus Bass of N.C. Black Alliance, and Bob Phillips of Common Cause N.C.

We must take action to ensure that voters can safely, securely, and efficiently exercise their right to vote while still protecting their health.
